New Zealand:
- We asked our clients for the primary reason for purchasing their property – this year, consistently the number one reason has been a first home purchase, with this number steadily increasing from 24 per cent of respondents indicating they were first home buyers in May 2012, to 40 per cent in October 2012.

Australia:
We also ask our buyers in Australia for the primary reason for purchasing their property – the number of buyers purchasing a property for investment purposes has risen significantly over the last 3 months, from 16 per cent in July 2012 to 47 per cent in October 2012.
